How to Make Your Eid Crown
Materials Needed
• Printable Eid-crown template (Download below)
• Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
• Scissors
• Glue stick or stapler
• Tape (optional)
Step 1: Print the Eid-Crown Template

Download and print the Eid crown. You can print it on regular printer paper but for best results I recommend sturdy paper or cardstock at your local paper shop. The template includes a beautiful Eid-crown design with extra bands on page 2 to adjust the fit.
Step 2: Color Your Crown

Color in your crown. Use bright colors. You can even add glitter, or even stick small gems to make your Eid-crown shine.
Step 3: Cut Out the Crown and Extra Bands

Carefully cut along the outlines of the Eid-crown and extra bands on page 2.
Step 4: Measure & Adjust the Fit
Wrap the Eid-crown around your child’s head to check the size. If it’s too small, attach an extra band from page 2. I find two bands to be enough for a child (No need to color unused bands).
Step 5: Assemble the Crown
Use a glue stick (or stapler) to attach the bands securely. Flip the front crown piece facing down. Add glue to the edge of the strip and glue the back of the crown edge. Do the same on the other side. Finally glue the middle strap in one piece.

I find glue to be the easiest. It’s easy for kids to use and doesn’t leave a mark like a staple. If you are short on time and need to make a lot a stapler is definitely faster.
Step 6: Wear and Celebrate
Once the glue dries, the Eid-crown is ready to wear! Wear it at family gatherings, school, or the mosque.

Tips & Variations: Alternative Ways to Decorate your Crown
• Add Sparkle – Use glitter glue or metallic markers to make the crown extra festive.
• Customize It – Write the child’s name or a special Eid message on the band.
• Eid Classroom Display – Instead of wearing them, hang the crowns on a bulletin board to showcase kids’ creativity.
